No, you can install with manual dip switch settings, or you can use the simple Web Browser to configure over the Internet or private IP network. Most features for the Web Browser interface are related to monitoring and alerting. 

The IDRPT-9000 can be mounted inside or outside the building, warehouse, or structure. The case is hardened and weatherproof.

The unit has (4) mounting holes, two at each end. It can be mounted to wood, metal, or drywall. Cabling can then be run to the outside donor antenna and the inside fill antenna.
